Constant remakes, wheres the originality?

The HD collections, 3DS ports and more. As entertaining as they can be, how about some NEW franchises from these respective creators. A little new flavour wouldn't hurt.

I hear that. It's a little tedious seeing the same classics being redone every 2 or 3 years, and seldom seeing original titles. I don't count FPS game series's, because they usually turn out to be the same game repeated with maybe a few different guns and mechanics. I haven't really seen anything good and revolutionary since maybe inFamous (there could have been some, but I don't count sequels). It seems as if originality is a rare commodity in the gaming community nowadays.

Overreactions. Nothing compared to the sheer amount of movie remakes -_-.

That's also true. Most movie remakes tend to disappoint. That's usually what happens with a change of director, though. What's really sad is when the movie is remade with the same director, and still sucks ass (or, in George Lucas's case, prequels.)
